A Marathi movie titled “Candle March” based on the four protogonist females who are sexually harassed in different circumstances.There are chain of events which connects all the four protogonists who jointly fight the injustice from the known recent sex scandals and attacks in India.
Team “Candle March” conducted a promotional event in Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri Group of Institutes for Junior and Senior College students in Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty auditorium on 25th November 2014.
Actors Tejaswini Pandit,Smita Tambe,Manav Naik,Sayali Sahsrabudhye,Ashish Pathade and Nilesh Divekar along with singers Rohit Raut and Anadi Joshi and with director and producer of the film participated in the event.
All the actors explained their experience in making the film. Singers sang very melodious songs of the film incidentally Shankar Mahadevan sang a song in the film.
Team “Candle March” interacted with Kannada Sangha management along with Heads of Colleges.
Later Tejaswini,Smita Manav,Sayali,Ashish and Nilesh spoke about their roles in the movie.Rohit and Anadi sang duets from the movie.
Tejaswini explained about the story of the film and explained that along with the movie team Candle March has started a postcard movement by sending post cards to Government Of India to press the urgent need of suffering women of India requesting for Changing laws,assuring woman’s safety in the society and rigourus and quick punshiment for culprits.This message was accepted by all the students present in the auditorium and all of them signed the post cards spontaneously which was appreciated by all.
Radio City R.J Shonali compered the show very lively.
Mr Rajesh Poojari who passed out from Kannada medium school in 1996 and is coach for primary school Taekwondo classes recently won a Bronze medal in National Taekwondo championship.
He won the medal for Senior Men-under 68kg catagory held in Balewadi Sports complex in Pune.
Kannada Sangha congratulate Mr Rajesh Poojari for his outstanding performance.
He has won Black Belt4th Dan from South Korea earlier..
