Hon Shri Sadananda Gowda,former Chief Minister and present leader of legislative council,Govt Of Karnataka visited Kannada Sangha Pune on auspcious 67th Independence day of India 15-08-2013.He was received by President Kannada Sangha Shri Kushal hegde and managing trustees.He was taken around Kaveri Group Of Educational Institutes at Ganeshnagar.He was welcomed and felicitated by Shri Kushal Hegde with a Puneri Pagdi,Shawl and a Golden Jubilee momento.
Mr Ramadas Acharya,PRO gave a brief introduction of Shri Sadananda Gowda and activities of Kannada Sangha and Kaveri Institutes.In his reply Mr Gowda appreciated the Kannada Sangha and Kaveri Institutes and congratulated the management and members for doing such an excellant job outside Karntaka.
Mrsalati Kalmadi,Secretary,gave vote of thanks.Along with the Chief Guest and President of Kannada Sangha Dr Narayana Hegde,Vice President,Mrs Indira Salian,Vice President,Mrs Malati Kalmadi.Secretary and Shri Babu Rao,Treasurer shared the dias.Hon Trustees,Heads of Institutes,members,heads of Various Kannada and Tulu associations of Pune and students attended the function in large numbers.
Recently a Kannada drama titled “Shirdi Shri Saibaba” was played by
artists of famous K.B.R.Drama Company,Davanagere,Karnataka.
This well known story depicting the life of Shri Saibaba was very well
played by the troup consisting of more than 35 professional artists
,few of them are TV and Cine artists in Kannada.
Eye catching settings,touching acting by actors with full of real life
story of great saint mesmerised audience at newly renovated auditorium
of Kannada sangha,Erandavane.Incidentally this is the first
professional drama played in this newly renovated auditorium during
the Golden Jubilee year of Kannada Medium School.
